FEATURING LOCAL CAUSES IN BRIGHTON & HOVE

Giving back to the community is an important part of who we are. Over the years our drivers and staff have raised thousands of pounds for local charities, with particular focus on hospice care through The Martlets and the wider Southern Hospice group. This space highlights the local charities, initiatives and events we support across Brighton and Hove.

Featured charity: Southern Hospice Group

We’re proud to feature Southern Hospice Group, and share details of their upcoming Charity Golf Day.

Here’s a few words from them:

“Southern Hospice Group is a local charity made up of three hospices our local communities know and love: Chestnut Tree House children's hospice near Arundel, Martlets in Hove and St Barnabas House in Worthing.

We support children, young people and adults who have life-limiting conditions across Sussex and South East Hampshire. We help those we care for, and their loved ones, to make the most of the precious time they have left together.

Our teams provide expert care in our hospices and in people’s homes, helping people live as fully and comfortably as possible. For adults, that means pain relief, emotional support, and dignity at end of life. For children and families, it means short breaks, specialist care, and time together - siblings feel seen, parents are supported, and memories are made in the hardest moments.

Our services are free to patients and their families, and as a charity we only receive a small proportion of our funding from our NHS grant. We are therefore dependent on the generosity of our communities to keep the hospices running.
