Boozy Brighton Events
There are some events in and around Brighton and Hove that you will definitely want to get a taxi to and from. Throughout the summer, there are some amazing boozy events including beer festivals, LGBT festivals and all kinds of fun and fabulous celebrations. Here’s a small selection of events we think you should definitely order a Streamline Taxi to take you to.
Brighton Craft Beer Festival – Thursday 20th June to Saturday 22nd June
The Clarendon Centre, close to Brighton Station, plays host to this beer drinking extravaganza with beers coming from all over the country as well as from the US and Europe. They’ve got live music and food for you to enjoy while you’re drinking. Some of the best local breweries are represented as are local wine and gin companies. Definitely an event not to drive to!
Oktoberfest Brighton – Sometime in October (obviously)
This grand German tradition of excessive beer drinking returns to Brighton in 2019. It’s a hugely popular event and this year the organisers are asking people to register for tickets early on their website. Last year they were selling beer in 2 pint steins (but you can get smaller measures if you like) and they recommended taking Streamline Taxis to and from the event.
The Gin to My Tonic Festival – Saturday 28th September
If beer isn’t your thing then how about some gin? There’s over 100 coming to the Hilton Brighton Metropole for you to try. Gin is served in larger than average 35ml measures with the mixer of your choice. There is also live entertainment and experts there for you to ask all your gin related questions.
Brighton Bear Weekend – Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th June
Things are about to get hairy when the bears come to town. They aren’t real bears though. They’re just hairy LGBT men who get celebrated each year in Kemptown. Although this isn’t an alcohol festival, it does mostly take place is pubs and often involves a great deal of drinking.
Brighton Pride – Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th August
Again, not an alcohol festival but it is a festival that often involves a great deal of alcohol. Whether you’re planning on attending one of the numerous house parties that go on before, during and after the parade or attending the main event in Preston Park on Saturday or the equally fabulous LoveBN1 Fest on the Sunday, there is often booze involved so it’s a great idea to grab a Streamline Taxi (especially if you’re wearing particularly magnificent shoes).
Although it’s obviously advisable to take a taxi if you’re going to an event which involves drinking, you don’t necessarily need to be drinking to make it a good idea to get a taxi. For any event you’re planning to attend this summer, download the Streamline Taxi app so you can order a taxi quickly and easily to get you there or get you home. Our app allows you to add your credit/debit card details so you can pay quickly without needing to find some cash.
