Joining as an Associate Member
  • When you undertake account work you are paid the exact same amount. We do not charge you to do account work like others do, there are no deductions. Why should you subsidise your existing company?
  • Crash Benefit: This is incorporated in you subscription & allows you to make certain claims for damage to your vehicle that is repaired by one of our authorised  repairers. This allows you to ensure that small damages do not affect your insurance premiums.
  • We only run Brighton & Hove licensed hackney carriage and private-hire vehicles. You have gained your "knowledge" to work in the city so why work alongside vehicles and drivers who have no "knowledge" of the city and whose vehicles are not checked by Brighton & Hove City Council?
  • Better technology. We have the latest touch screen data-units, the CT4 and we allow you to see the job offered to you before you decide to take it. We also have the "Out-of-Car" feature. This allows you to be away from the vehicle for up to 30 minutes. If a job is offered to you within that time the CT4 will hold it for 30 seconds and ring your mobile phone. You then have 30 seconds to get back to the vehicle to accept the job.
  • The company is run by its Members for the benefit of its Members.
  • There is no favourtism!!  All drivers are equal.

Joining as a Full-Member / Stakeholder

Whilst we are a limited company, we are also an Association comprised of Full-Members who
are owner drivers and guardians of the limited company. There are a maximum of 200 Full-Members.
To become a Full-Member you must acquire the membership of a retiring Full-Member.
